Solayer

Native restaking on Solana

Aiming to be Solana’s first native restaking service, Solayer is coming out swinging with endorsements from serious community players like @solBigBrain. Solayer seeks to be the decentralized cloud infrastructure that enables a higher degree of consensus and blockspace customization for application developers. Using a two-pronged approach of restaking and Shared Validator Networks, Solayer is striving to leverage the stake in established POS systems with established validator networks to provide security for other decentralized systems.

Why on Solana? Solayer suggests that “Solana’s high-performant, cost-effective, and high execution infrastructure is superior for SVN (Shared Validator Network) builders, operators, and restakers.” Advantages include cost-effective SVN construction, low latency SVNs for a more responsive user experience, cheaper state sycn/update/finalization, and cheaper state transition storage.

Solayer has private launched Epoch 0 today May 15th 2024! Restaking will be coming soon, first allowing for the restaking of mSol, JitoSol, bSol, and INF. You can also directly restake Sol which will first be turned into sSol-raw, and then into sSol after another interaction with restaking pool manager – this will occur in one transaction.

I’m excited to start restaking with Solayer when it goes live. I think from a crypto enthusiast point of view its a service to help secure the networks further. Earning extra APY on your LSTs is pretty nice too! Will you restake with Solayer?

Hope you enjoyed!

Cheers,

Davie
